Olympic gold medalist and Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade’s life has never been limited to the realm of basketball. After his retirement, he has gone above and beyond to showcase that he is much more than that. He has been an icon in the global world, what with his massive lucrative deals and philanthropy. He made the cut with his “Way of Wade” signature shoe line in partnership with Li Ning. As the legend embarks on the 11th year of his deal, he celebrates the trajectory with a precious souvenir.

To celebrate Wade’s induction into the Hall of Fame, Li Ning paid homage to the legend with the launch of the reimagined retro version of Wade’s first signature shoes. Recently, the 13-time All-Star player unveiled the HOF-inspired collab through an Instagram story.

Taking to his Instagram, he shared a picture of his creation and wrote, “11 years ago we made an incredible shoe brother! Thank you for understanding the vision. Wow1 “HOF” family edition!”

He also tagged Eric Miller, the designer, on his IG story. Back in 2012, Wade joined the Chinese sportswear brand Li Ning after his contract with Jordan Brand expired. He worked closely with lead designer Miller to create his signature shoes.

His sneakers line, ‘The Way of Wade” was a massive success and a game changer for both on and off the court. Following this, the duo continued to craft their magic and released Way of Wade 4 in 2015. And in 2018, Wade signed a lifetime deal with the brand.

For his recent Li Ning tour to China, the 3-time champ was joined by his son Zaire Wade. Well, that was for a reason. Following in his father’s footsteps, Zaire has officially joined the Li Ning family.

In an interview, Wade revealed that his son was always been a part of his dream and journey, which he began with Li Ning. He took to his Instagram to congratulate his son and sent a heart-warming message.

He is proud to welcome his son into the Li Ning family as the 21-year-old officially signed the deal with the Chinese brand. Zaire’s new line-up will be launched as “Li Ning Son of Wade.” As a proud father, he mentioned that he looks forward to Zaire having a lifetime commitment to the company as well.
