While some investments were his first step, he jumped onto taking a role behind the microphone. And then obviously, this followed his duty to be a more present father for his kids. I felt like you know I played 15 years, happened to win a championship with the Warriors and I just felt like you know, there was other stuff that I wanted to do,” Barnes said, via Marc Lamont Hill on TheGrio.

“It’s important to tell athletes’ stories from our perspective. Being in the NBA for 14 years taught me firsthand why it’s so necessary for us to control our narrative,” Barnes said about the show as per Deadline.

Thanks to his numerous lucrative investments, his cannabis brand which is named Swish, and his analyst job in ESPN and NBC, he has a net worth of $15 million while he made a total of $35 million during his NBA days.
