Like Shaquille O’Neal turning to the turntables after the NBA, Michael Jordan’s son is tapping into his musical side after some major development. Marcus went through a challenging 2024 that included some personal setbacks. Since then, he’s been focused on maintaining his well-being, his business with The Trophy Room, and spending time with family.

His latest venture is – quite unexpectedly – deejaying. There’s almost no known history of MJ’s youngest son having a musical inclination. Yet he’s showcasing them for a rare occasion.

He posted pictures of his consoles at The Trophy Room Store in Orlando with an open invitation. “Practicing my DJ skills IN-STORE @trophyroomstore all week 🎧 Pull up, shop & vibe…🎶” on his Instagram story. How good he is at the EDM game, we’d need the Trophy Room visitors to testify.

This is one of the many positive updates from Marcus since February. He vacationed in Paris with his mother, Juanita Vanoy. He later joined his dad, Michael Jordan, aboard the Catch 23 at Maryland’s White Marlin Open, where they came pretty close to the top prize.

Amid various public rumors, he’s focused on the Trophy Room, including the release of limited edition Air Jordans. He also celebrated the short film Rookie Card, winning an award. While he had some challenging moments last year, he has stayed committed to his personal growth.

After his breakup with Larsa Pippen in early 2024, Marcus faced some public scrutiny and difficult personal moments. There were brief attempts at reconciliation, but the relationship ended permanently by March 2024. A year after the breakup, Marcus was arrested after an intoxicated episode where he drove his Lamborghini into railroad tracks and got into a verbal back-and-forth with the responding officers. The one aspect of this incident seared into public consciousness was Marcus repeatedly chanting, “I’m Michael Jordan’s son,” during the arrest. He posted bail and left the holding cell the next day.

He was charged with DUI and has been working on his sobriety since then. Music and pop culture – which his dad is a part of – were his comfort through it. That’s why the compounded grief of Ozzy Ozborne and Hulk Hogan’s deaths hit him hard in July 2025. But Marcus assured his followers he remained on track.

He has stayed on his goal even through September 12, when Marcus reached the end of his DUI case by signing a pretrial intervention contract in Orange County, Florida. He is expected to fulfil certain stipulations over the next 12 months to get his charges dismissed.

He must write a 250-word apology letter to one of the cops. The other stipulations are more standard, including random d— testing, a $1,000 donation, having an interlock device on his vehicle, and 50 hours of community service.
