However, months after the tournament, Isaiah had to be hospitalized for surgery. Both Barnes and his ex-wife shared the entire journey on social media. Dishing out 30 points, Isaiah led his High School team to an 80-37 win against Golden Valley High. The Crespi Carmelite Celts are now 5-1. Barnes quickly shared the news on his IG story. “30 in only 3 quarters,” Barnes wrote. Isaiah’s team had success in their previous matchup as well, winning 84-55 over Village Christian. For the unversed, this is Crespi’s second win against Golden Valley after successfully defeating the team back in 2016.

The surgery stemmed from an accident that took place back in August when Isaiah was mistakenly hit by a car while jogging. Later, when he arrived home, the 15-year-old experienced extreme stomach pain and was even unable to move. As he detailed his pain to his parents, they thought it best to take him to a hospital. And boy they were just in time!

After a checkup, doctors at UCLA Health claimed that Isaiah had appendicitis. The scariest part is that doctors revealed his appendix to be the largest they had seen that had not ruptured. Isaiah had to immediately undergo surgery.

The first slide of the IG carousel post showed Barnes holding his twins in his arms. Reflecting on how fast the two grew up, the second slide was a picture of the twins as toddlers. While the third slide featured a more recent picture.

“S-I-X-T-E-E-N 👑👑 I’ve been at a loss of words the last few days trying to figure out what caption I can come up with to explain how amazing you guys have made the last 16yrs of my life,” Barnes expressed his delight in the caption.
