He is even closely engaged with the ‘Make a Wish’ foundation and several local chapters of the ‘Boys & Girls Club’. Recently, he expressed his wish to continue his charitable ventures. Only this time, Shaq was looking to steal a renowned rapper’s noble idea, originally intended for Nike.

American rapper and record executive Jim Jones recently shared his philanthropic idea, desperately hoping Nike would steal it.

What is the idea that even Shaq aims to steal?

Luxury giants such as Nike, Reebok, and more are obsessed with new ingenious ideas that can help increase their growth in the global market. The competition is way too high. However, this new idea proposed by Jim Jones is different. This one aims to bring a change in the literary world as well as contribute to society.

While we are uncertain if Nike will consider the idea, Los Angeles Lakers legend definitely seems to have taken things into his own hands. As Jim Jones mentioned, he wants Nike to give sneakers to good students. This decision will not only celebrate the hard-working students’ efforts but also encourage the less motivated ones.

Jones mentioned his wish in the latest episode of the “fullsizerunshow”. While the job was intended for Nike, the President of Basketball at Reebok already has his eyes set on the idea. Commenting on an IG clip featuring Jones’s idea, Big Aristotle said, “yo jim me allen iverson and reebok will do it, holla at me.”

Of course, literacy is a cause close to Shaq’s heart. Earlier this year, the 4-time NBA champion invested in Edsoma. The AI-powered reading and communication platform for kids brought the former-MVP onboard as an ambassador. Clearly, Shaq isn’t letting the partnership stop him from pursuing other paths towards promoting literacy.

Shaquille O’Neal is the President of Basketball

Shaq’s relationship with Reebok dates back to 1992, when he signed with the brand as a rookie.  It was one of the biggest endorsement deals for the company.

Though O’Neal would leave the partnership to pursue more affordable shoes, post-retirement life has brought him back to the multi-billion dollar brand. Years after their celebrated partnership, the legend was named as the President of Basketball Operations earlier this year. 

He will be overseeing the basketball division and fostering collaborations with players and organizations. When asked about his opinion on his role, O’Neal said, “It feels great. Shout-out to Todd [Krinsky] and all the other Reebok employees and Authentic Brands. This is a great moment for me. It is something I’ve always wanted to do.”
