We’ve been locked in for over 15 years now, so when he calls on me for something, I know it’s going to be good, and I’ll be pushed as an actor, so that’s why I follow his lead.”

Furthermore, she also spoke about the character she played in the series as well as other roles. Showing a major similarity between the characters she has played so far, Anthony said, “Power and BMF are two different shows, but at the core, the characters have similarities where the women I play love someone very deeply and want to see the best in them.”All women can relate to these two in a sense, which is what makes all the characters appealing because you can find something that you may resonate with when you’re watching,” La La Anthony said in an interview with Revolt.

La La Anthony talks about playing intimate scenes in BMF

The series is loosely based on the true story of two brothers, Meech and Terry Flenory. Back in the 80s, the two brothers operated one of the biggest money laundering organizations in the United States.

La La Anthony played the character of a drug dealer’s wife Markisha Taylor who later gets intrigued by the Flenory brothers. Later, in the series, her character is also shown to be Terry’s love interest. Speaking of shooting an intimate scene for the show, Anthony shared, “You work with so many amazing people that make those scenes comfortable. When DaVinchi said I have to do that, he makes everything very comfortable and makes me feel seen and protected.“So that’s always important in those scenes,” the former New York Knicks player’s ex-wife said to Vibe.
