Years after its release, Michael Jordan‘s famous documentary, ‘The Last Dance’, continues to create controversies. Not by the fans, but by Jordan’s teammates, who believe he has not done justice to them in the series. Scottie Pippen was the first to call him out, following which many joined the party. The latest is none other than Horace Grant. However, Grant’s case for disappointment is a bit different from others. Let’s take a look.

Grant was not upset that he was not given a lot of attention in ‘The Last Dance’. It was his best friend and former teammate, Luc Longley, who was snubbed in the documentary, he feels. The Chicago Bulls was not just about Jordan. There were several other stars in the team who have made crucial contributions on the side, like Dennis Rodman, Horace Grant, Tony Kukoc, etc. The second-peat by the Bulls structured Jordan’s career to become legendary and Longley played a huge part in it according to Grant.

How did Luc Longley release the pressure Michael Jordan put on his teammates?

Although the Bulls did secure a lot of wins, it would be a near nightmare for the teammates of Jordan when they lost. The 6-time champion always demanded more when the team lost, and that would add a lot of pressure in the locker room. Well, Longley was the “calming influence”. Apart from this, his shot-blocking and rebounding ability gave the opponents intimidation, which made the Bulls offense a lot smoother.

Till today, Grant and Longley are best friends. Thus, the 4-time champion revealed, “When Luc didn’t get the light, shine, and recognition that he deserved on The Last Dance documentary, it was very disappointing.”
