Allen Iverson gave Michael Jordan one of the most embarrassing double crossovers back in the 90s, which resulted in a few-second-long stumble for the Chicago Bulls legend. Even today, one can see some cold edits of the Philadelphia 76ers icon on social media. Although many would still mock MJ for falling prey to such a move, Iverson believes the 6-time champion played good defense. Fans, however, know how Jordan would take it. Iverson confirmed that the 60-year-old will never let it slide.

What made Iverson’s crossover on Jordan more iconic was the fact that the former idolizes the latter. Well, to be precise, Iverson did his GOAT dirty! However, his love and respect for the 5-time MVP is never-ending. In a recent interview with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols, he shared, “You see how great he was because, I got him with it[double crossover], real bad and he still almost blocked the shot…Anybody else would be on the other side of the court. He still got his hands up and almost blocked me.”

A humble AI still believes that was some good defense for a killer move. But for Jordan, Iverson made the shot over him. It doesn’t matter how good his recovery was. He confirmed that MJ would mention that crossover every time they talk to each other.

The 2001 MVP continued, “The only person in the world if I see him right now, and I would get nervous and talk to him on the phone in Facetime, I would be nervous. I don’t know what to say sometimes.”

Well, AI would be humble regardless, but the Sixers legend’s overwhelming respect and love for MJ has sometimes landed him in trouble.

He added in the interview, “I keep talking about who he is to me, what he has done for my life. I just get overwhelmed every time I see him. And I kept going on and on and on and he was like, ‘Look man, you don’t care nothing about me, because if you did, you wouldn’t have crossed me like that’. “
