Michael Jordan‘s daughter is proud of the Jordan Brand’s latest venture. The brand introduced the high school All-Star basketball game named ‘The Jordan Brand Classic,’ with the annual tournament held in April. It features some of the most talented high school athletes in senior class. Back in 2015, a game for the girls was also added. Cut to 2024, it is one of the most competitive high-school games which has the potential to boost Nike sales too.

MJ’s daughter shared a Forbes article emphasizing the tournament’s focus on the league and the brand on her Instagram story and wrote, “Jordan Brand congrats. Easily the best High School All-Star Game I’ve seen in years. Kids were really trying to compete.”

As the name suggests, it is inspired by the brand MJ owns. As described by Forbes, the Jordan Brand supplies shoes and the other gear required for all the athletes of the Jordan Brand Classic. The 6x champion himself played in the tournament back when it was called the Capital Classic. It was in 2002 when it was renamed and given a new life. With the tournament picking up traction, Dylan Harper is the one on the top. The five-star recruit really took his performance to a whole new level in this edition.

Class of 2024 Rutgers signee Harper is named the third-best player in his class as per ESPN. The young hooper managed to prove his talent in the Jordan Brand Classic where he notched up 30 points in a game against Duke’s Cooper Flagg who is the No. 1 recruit. His record comes third in the tournament’s history after LeBron James’ 34 points in 2003 and Emmitt Williams’ 44 points in 2018. With that he managed to lead his team get a 119-113 win over Team Air. Moreover, Harper was also named the game’s Co-MVP. 

Held at the Barclays Center, this event was to honor the 6x Champ who was born in Brooklyn. And the players ensured to pay homage to the legend with their stunning performance.

The Chicago Bulls legend’s millionaire daughter continues to push boundaries to make way for the young athletes. Maybe not in the basketball game, but the two find common ground in business. Jasmine who grew up in the basketball world has carved out a special space for herself in it and found success too. She took up the role of field representative in sports marketing for Nike’s Jordan line. Along with being a basketball operations coordinator for the Charlotte Hornets basketball team, she has also started to lead and guide the female athletes division.
