Shaquille O’Neal did his Heat teammates dirty. Udonis Haslem and Dwyane Wade seized the opportunity to call him out on it. Shaq has gone the extra mile to gift his former teammates cars. Yet he didn’t fulfill that for the guys he won his fourth championship ring with. All three are retired now and they’re not letting Shaq off the hook.

O’Neal made the mistake of bringing UD on The Big Podcast. It gave him the opportunity to bring up the promise “Remember what you told me and Dwyane, if we win, what you was going to do?” Haslem put Shaq on the spot who fearfully asked, “I said I’d get you a… what?” 

“The man told me and Dwyane if we win our first championship, he said, ‘If we win this title, I’mma buy y’all Bentleys,'” Haslem told Adam Lefkoe. “The man ain’t bought us Bentleys. We was motivated as hell, but what me and Dwyane did was go buy our own Bentleys…We believed, we was young, we ain’t know no damn better. He said, ‘What? Bentley? S*** let’s go.'”

Shaq was on the backfoot of the Bentley debacle. But pot-stirrer Lefkoe directly asked Dwyane Wade on Instagram to verify this claim. Wade responded on Instagram Stories, “And we’re still waiting.”

When confronted by UD, Shaq tried to pretend he did send the Bentley but lost Haslem’s address. But he went on to say it was a misunderstanding. Shaq was a three-time champion when he came to Miami where most didn’t know what that was like. So he may have carried some of the Lakers’ winning customs there.

“When all my Lakers teammates win we were bragging about what I did for him, so they knew it was a possibility I was going to do that,” Shaq tried to say. At least Haslem and Wade went on to get their own Bentleys.

A 2006 Bentley would have set Shaq back around $183,000. Money is not the issue though. Some of Shaq’s teammates have been on the receiving end of his generosity.

When Shaq was briefly LeBron James’ teammate in Cleveland, he gifted the young King James a Rolls Royce Phantom worth $400,000 on his birthday. That must’ve stung for UD and D-Wade. Recently, he gifted a $1 million custom Rolls to rapper Gawne, who collaborated with him on their holiday release, “Chaos.”

But it wasn’t just championship-winning gifts. Shaq took Laker rookies under his wings and gave them a much-needed confidence boost. He paid the down payment on a Chevy Tahoe for his teammate, Mark Madsen before buying him a brand new wardrobe.
