Yeehaw! The Dodgers have made it! After a stellar performance, Shohei Ohtani and the squad are heading to the NLCS. And the excitement among LA Dodgers fans is unstoppable. For a long time, they have had to endure the talks of postseason failure. But now, the Dodgers have every reason to take a brief break to celebrate and then saddle up for the next battle.

LA Dodgers co-owner Magic Johnson couldn’t hide his excitement. Taking to his social media, he wrote, “Congratulations to my @dodgers ownership partners, Manager Dave Roberts, and all of our Dodgers players and fans tonight!! We are officially going to the National League Championship Series against the Mets!”

Of course, the Los Angeles Lakers legend didn’t forget to appreciate the heroes of the game who made all the difference. The highlights were Kiké Hernández and Teoscar Hernández, whose home runs helped the team clinch the victory. Five scoreless innings from pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto also made a significant impact.

“Two HRs from Kiké Hernandez and Teoscar Hernandez led us to a 2-0 victory and the pitching from all of our pitchers, starting with Yamamoto, was tremendous. All of our relievers also did a great job tonight!” The 5x NBA Champ wrote on X.

The team also received plaudits from Lakers star LeBron James. Sending his best wishes, James wrote, “Congrats @Dodgers on Advancing to NLCS!!!!” But it doesn’t stop here.

Vannessa Bryant and more cheer for the LA Dodgers’ win

Earlier, during the Dodgers’ 20-4 game against the Miami Marlins, Ohtani had a historic performance, hitting in six of his plate appearances. Patrick Mahomes and Joel Embiid also showed appreciation for Ohtani’s impressive feat. “THIS GUY IS UNREAL!!!! WOWZERS” awestruck James wrote on X.

Vanessa Bryant who was also keeping up with the game, quickly shared the post on his Instagram handle. Her first IG story was a snap of the game and she wrote “Let’s go Dodgers.” Another story was a quote said by Kobe Bryant which was highlighted by the Dodgers. With Yamamoto’s brilliance, the Dodgers had a 2-0 win over the San Diego-based franchise. The team had 24 scoreless innings against the Padres who are known for their good offense games.

A seemingly huge fan of Dodgers, Vannessa was also present at Game 1 of the Dodgers vs. Padres to cheer for the team. It had a thunderous debut defeating the power Padres — a great start for the Dodgers, who had once again raised fans’ hopes. After more than a two-decade drought, the team made an NLCS appearance in 2021, and now again in 2024. And just as the quote that Vanessa  shared, “Job is not finished.”
