During the match, NBA fans witnessed a special moment with an NBA legend who had come to watch the game. Austin Reeves a.k.a “Captain America” scores a three to tie the game at 29 a piece. He puts 3 fingers on the side of his forehead and does the iconic ‘Melo’ celebration.

Germany is going to the FIBA 2023 World Cup Finals

This is the first time the German international basketball team has defeated the mighty United States team. The German team is looking extremely strong, as all their players have performed well individually. The team also shows great chemistry in terms of defense and passing.

German Power Forward and current NBA player Franz Wagner had 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in the semi-finals. Daniel Theis, the German center had 21 points and 7 rebounds. Andreas Obst, a shooting guard, and a EuroLeague veteran has also shined throughout the FIBA World Cup. He scored 24 points with 6 assists in his performance against the USA.

This young German team has made its country proud. Aspiring basketball players from all over the world are bound to be inspired, as more young blood joins in to represent their country to win the coveted gold medal. And now, Germany will face off against Serbia, whose leader is the former NBA MVP of 2023, in the FIBA finals.
