Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most dominant players to have ever played in the NBA. An incredibly built person, Shaq was a walking bucket during his initial seasons in the NBA. Standing at 7’1, the giant was a towering presence as his explosive game style complemented his massive physique. Winning 4 championships during his 19-year stint in the NBA, the big man is one of the most decorated players ever. Forming formidable partnerships wherever he went, the center had memorable pairings with Penny Hardaway, Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade.
While Shaq dominated an entire generation of the NBA one can’t help but question whether the big man really was that dominant. Having only shot a single free throw in his entire career Shaq was never a well-rounded player. Add to that his disciplinary problems and one can make the case of the former MVP being a troublemaker. One media stalwart recently presented his nomination for the most dominant player ever, as he quickly humbled Dan Levy.

70-year-old veteran humbles Dan Levy for his Shaq claims
During a recent episode of the podcast Bargument, Chicago area legend Mike North made an appearance as he discussed various topics of interest. One such subject was the most dominant player ever as the radio jockey made his pick. Explaining his reasoning behind picking Wilt over Diesel the 70-year-old chuckled before stating. “Well, I saw Wilt Chamberlin average 50 points in one season, 25 rebounds, 25 boards.”
Continuing to elaborate Mike revealed that the NBA changed certain rules due to Wilt. Listing some of the rule changes he stated, “They put in goal tend, they would have never scored on him. They put in 3 seconds because of him. They changed all sorts of rules.” But the discussion first started after host Dan Levy picked Shaq to guard Wilt Chamberlin as he stated, “Your five? You have Chamberlin I will put up Shaq.”
Unable to back up his claims, Levy quickly jumped in favor of Wilt as he humbly stated. “(They also changed) the free throws, he was able to dunk from the free throw line, so they had to shoot it.”
But Before Mike North humbled Dan Levy for choosing Shaquille O’Neal to guard Wilt Chamberlin, it was another comment made by the voice actor that instigated the entire conversation.

Dan Levy makes a head-turning Shaq claim
Choosing Shaq to guard Wilt the host of the podcast stated, “I will take Shaq over Chamberlin. Even though Wilt has all these records, but still Shaquille O’Neal I think would be a more dominant player than Wilt.”
Bombarding Levy with factually backed statistics for his head-turning claims, North clearly presented his idea on why he felt Wilt was the most dominant player ever. While Chamberlin might be the most dominant player on the court, Shaq surely takes the dub off it.
