The first name to pop up in your mind while speaking of a multi-talented NBA star is usually Shaquille O’Neal. From breaking backboards in his rookie years to breaking records in the music industry, the 7ft legend has lived up to his many names. While fans are enamored by the DJ Diesel’s latest performance, his eldest son detailed a hilarious take on his father’s foray.

Even though Shaq could have chosen to take his sons to the TNT studios or the Big Chicken headquarters for ‘Take Your Kid to Work’ day, he instead chose to visit his side-hustle. Of course, DJ Diesel is often accompanied by his stepson Myles, but this time, his other son, Shareef, also joined him.

Shareef O’Neal was surprised to see his father’s DJ avatar

The 4-time champion recently launched his first EDM album, ‘Gorilla Warfare’. The album was also received with great energy, much like the performances at Shaq’s concerts. Much like he did on the hardwood, Shaquille O’Neal continues to delight fans with his performance. This time, he took his kid to one of his concerts as well.

While fans are well aware of fashion and music enthusiast Myles joining the legend in his musical pursuit, the presence of lesser-known Shareef O’Neal in the concert was quite surprising.

It seems that the 23-year-old was equally surprised and delighted to see his father perform. Sharing a clip of his father’s music magic, Shareef wrote on his IG story, “Me thinking life isn’t real because my dad is a edm dj now.”

Shareef last played in the NBA G League Ignite. He previously played for UCLA and Louisiana State. The young athlete also played four games with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2022 NBA Summer League.

Shaquille O’Neal is dominating the EDM industry

It wasn’t surprising to see Big Diesel excel in music as well. He led the Lakers to 3 championship titles. So it’s only fitting that he takes control over his music career with equal success.

Fans have also started to take notice of his impressive talent.  O’Neal’s concerts garner a significant number of crowds. His latest Lollapalooza concert saw a crowd of 115000 people.

Expressing his excitement over the feat, he wrote, “Lollapalooza that was the biggest crowd I’ve ever DJed for.”
