Stephen A. Smith was shocked like most of the basketball community, regarding the news of Nate Robinson‘s health. A few days ago, Robinson announced the tragic news. “He ‘doesn’t have long to live’ if he doesn’t get a kidney replacement.” via Daily Mail. Many former legends of the game made the plea on his behalf to the world. Jamal Crawford took to his X account, urging and praying for Robinson. He wrote, “We have to get our brother a kidney ASAP.”

On his YouTube Channel, Smith uploaded a video and spoke about the 11-year NBA veteran. Smith understood that players usually push their physical boundaries to the limit to keep playing. He applauded the courage of Robinson to speak in public and ask for help in such times. “My heart goes out to Nate Robinson I wanted to bring attention to this story because I wanted people to know if there’s a way to help him. Please feel free to make that concerted effort to do so.

Stephen A. Smith thought Robinson wanted to tell the world about his battles which he had kept private before. So that people could understand the situation and help each other and not just him. He said “ I hope he truly does get the help that he needs and that his health will be restored so he can live a long and prosperous life. By the way take care of yourself and stop taking crazy risk don’t ever do that again ever.” But Smith was critical of one decision of the 3X Slam Dunk Champion.

But I do find myself scratching my head as to you knowing that you had full-blown kidney failure and you require dialysis. And somehow someway you got into a boxing ring in 2020 against a guy is big and is strong and dare I say is gifted as Jake Paul. What on Earth were you thinking, that is what enters my mind right now.

The reason for the decision to fight Jake Paul remains a mystery. But during the tough times for Nate Robinson, Stephen A. Smith is hopeful just like everybody else and wishing him a speedy recovery.
