At the time, being in the relationship, Michael Porter Jr. committed to paying the difference for a year. “I said whatever happens in this relationship for the next year, I’m committed to paying this rent.” But a few months later, they broke up, and MPJ continues to pay the rent, but on a monthly basis. But why not pay the entire amount upfront? The Nets forward stated, “Because she needs to act right month to month. I’m just saying. So, if I’m paying the remaining months…

Teague, on his Club 520 podcast, appreciated the efforts of staying committed to pay despite MPJ’s breakup. “And you be like, I gave you 50,000 for the year and you got…I f— with that. It really smooth though for that.” The former champion with the Bucks also stated how he would have approached the situation. “But I’d be like just stay in your budget. I just pulled up to my house…live in that ghetto and just come to my house…Yeah, I wouldn’t. You shouldn’t live outside your means, but like definitely”.

Michael Porter Jr. makes marriage claims amid past relationship controversy

He was linked with several women, none of whom he has had a long-term relationship with. “I got two younger brothers that are married, I got two older sisters who are married. I’m the only one that’s not married. And I feel that God kind of gives you what you’re prepared to handle.” So his recent comments about settling down also stem from this fact. “And so far in my life, like a good woman, I don’t think I’m ready to handle that because I’m all over the place.
