After the dramatic exit of James Harden from Philadelphia, the former MVP made a bold claim. Striving for a championship, the 10-time All-Star plans to take over with the Los Angeles Clippers. While fans have divisive views on the star, a celebrity, usually critical of Harden, recently made a surprising statement to show his approval of the player.

Two legends, Tim Legler and Richard Jefferson, recently made an appearance in the latest episode of ‘The Old Man and The Three’ podcast. There, they shared their views on the Beard and how they see him fitting into the star-studded Clippers.

1990s’ sharpshooter Tim Legler, has never been much of a supporter of James Harden. Despite this, the former 3-point contest winner did express approval for Harden’s recent claims. Talking about the recent trade, Legler said, “I remember I was traveling somewhere when he made those comments, and I got a text coming into my phone about it.”

The text Legler received was about Harden’s comments. Shortly after being traded, the 3-time scoring champion appeared for a press conference. When asked how he would adjust to the Clippers’ system, James Harden announced, “I am the system.”

Now, those of us who follow Tim Legler’s analysis would likely expect him to disagree. Well, interestingly enough, Legler clarified, “I said actually it’s 100% accurate…He is the system because, especially up to this point in his career, anywhere he’s gone right, you’re assimilating to his style.”

Legler explained how Harden’s teams often adjust to his on-ball playing style. The ESPN analyst further clarified, “It doesn’t necessarily mean I think that’s a good thing…But I think he’s being honest about it.”

Richard Jefferson agreed with Legler and broke down how Harden always plays at his own pace. But will it work out for the Clippers’ title hopes? James Harden has expressed confidence in his ability to mesh with Kawhi Leonard, Russell Westbrook, and the rest, steering them to triumph.

However, given his personal woes with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Beard is likely also just happy to have found a new home.

Harden’s ugly exit from the Philadelphia 76ers

After a disappointing run with the 76ers, James Harden shockingly opted into his player option this off-season. However, we later learned that he had done so in hopes of being traded or extended at the max value.

As there was a delay by the organization, Harden took matters into his own hands. During an event in China, he called out the general manager of the organization and stated, “Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of.”

Following that, there were murmurs throughout the off-season and into training camp about his future in Philly. Eventually, the franchise traded him to the Clippers.
