NBC Insider Warned Larsa Pippen Against Falling Victim to “Idiot” Journalist Over Marcus Jordan Controversy

As much as Larsa Pippen wants to keep her personal life private, the world doesn’t exactly follow. You can trace drama all the way back to Malik Beasley, and you can find some as recent as Marcus Jordan. People always want to make more of it than it actually is, so I want to be more careful,” she declared last year. Well, that hadn’t come out of nowhere. Assumptions, questions, scrutiny– she dealt with all. Publicly, even. For one of those, however, Larsa Pippen had a warning.

There’s no fun digging up the past, but during The Jason Lee Show recently, the host and Larsa’s close and trusted friend asked the actress about several lesser-known incidents. At one point, he even mentioned how he had to “give up on the Kardashians” for her. But seemingly questioning the reciprocation from her, he poked at how Larsa had chosen to go on The Tamron Hall Show instead of coming on his. There opened the box of memories. That was all the way back in 2023. And many might remember the actress expressing her disappointment following the show. She opened up about it on The Jason Lee Show, too.

“She talked so much sh-t about me,” Larsa started. “But… it was prime time, I did not want to go crazy on her.” 

And as you might remember, it was yet again about her dating Michael Jordan‘s son, Marcus Jordan. You know the history and beef between her ex-husband, Scottie Pippen, and the Chicago Bulls legend. Tamron had brought it up, too, asking why Larsa had decided to date Marcus at all after being aware of the dynamic. The questions did not sit well with the RHOM star. As per Page Six, she’d say, Tamron Hall was “negative and judgmental.” 

Cut to the present, she still holds the same opinion. In fact, she held the same opinion even when she was right on the show, and seemingly, she wasn’t the only one with that sentiment. On the Jason Lee Show now, Pippen remembered how an NBC member had come to suggest she leave during the commercial. 

“I’ve never had an NBC publicist during commercial come and whisper in my ear. And she goes, we can leave during commercial break. She said we can leave because it was that bad,” Pippen revealed. “She was just an idiot, honestly.” It was only because her mother was fond of the host that Larsa had agreed to be there, and continued because she was lost as to what to do next. 

While they were a little too personal and difficult for the 50-year-old, Hall had a different perspective.

“They were questions about either what she posted or what she presented on the show that she is on, and so I felt that that was a great example of an authentic conversation. I thought it was a great example of what we do, which is provide a safe space for people to tell their stories,” the host had said following all the headlines.

Tamron Hall has been on the receiving end of more than a few awards, including two Emmys as Informative Talk Show Host. Her razor-sharp wits and getting to the point are what set her apart, but they also seem to have landed her on the wrong side of Larsa. She clarified that she was just doing her job and “ambushing” her guest definitely wasn’t on her list.

But for Pippen, it is a scene all too familiar, and the one she’d rather avoid. So Hall wasn’t the only one receiving heat.

The mother of four appeared quite upset with the criticism of her past relationship with Marcus. But more than that, she was seemingly upset about the repetition of it despite her own explanations that she had never met the Chicago Bulls legend’s family. The mother of four didn’t mention names, however, the two individuals Larsa seemed to hint at were DJ Vlad and Gilbert Arenas.

On the show, she expressed her frustration and said, “I can take the scrutiny… if it makes sense,” she said. “But you drag me all the time—what are you getting out of that? Does it give you a bigger d—?” 

In recent days, the drama has escalated significantly. DJ Vlad, on his podcast, has openly expressed his criticism, often asking his guests about the actress. He did the same in a recent segment with Gilbert Arenas. The former Warriors player went as far as to claim that the actress had ruined two big names in the industry, likely Pippen and Jordan. He even suggested that Larsa should change her last name. 

On the Gils’ Arenas show, DJ Vlad claimed that he received a text from Larsa calling him out for being a “loser.” While the actress is far from changing her name as of now, more fuel has been added to the fire with several revelations from Pippen. Whether they’re true or not is yet to be found.
