The Dallas Cowboys shocked the world. Although the team was one of the best in the NFL this season, they have earned themselves a longer vacation as the team got eliminated earlier today by the 7th seed Green Bay Packers in the playoff wild card round. While this level of crumbling is unnatural for a team of this caliber, former NBA coach George Karl used Deion Sanders as a reference to remind fans of the last time the Dallas Cowboys did anything significant in the playoffs.

Deion Sanders played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1995 to 1999. The last time the Dallas Cowboys won a Superbowl was in 1996 at Superbowl XXX. Deion Sanders was 28 years old at the time. The Packers winning this match was not predicted by most people, as they barely made the playoffs with the final game of the regular season. Still, the Cowboys went down 27-0 in the first half and ended the game with the most points conceded ever in Dallas Cowboys playoff history.

I did not follow the traditional route to become a journalist, but my love for basketball and writing has brought me here. Seeing LeBron James? Cleveland Cavaliers make the iconic comeback from a 1-3 deficit in 2016 changed everything for a young engineering aspirant within me. Rather than simply looking at the game, I love to analyze how each player contributes to a team using BPM (Box Plus Minus) and other advanced metrics.
