While this level of crumbling is unnatural for a team of this caliber, former NBA coach George Karl used Deion Sanders as a reference to remind fans of the last time the Dallas Cowboys did anything significant in the playoffs.

Deion Sanders played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1995 to 1999. The last time the Dallas Cowboys won a Superbowl was in 1996 at Superbowl XXX. Deion Sanders was 28 years old at the time. The 6th most winning NBA coach, George Karl, quipped on Twitter, “Wow Deion was just a few years older than his son Shedeur the last time the Cowboys got anywhere in the playoffs!!“

Shedeur Sanders is the youngest son of Deion Sanders. He is currently 21 years old. While George Karl might be off by a few years, it is true that the Dallas Cowboys have not made it past the divisional round since winning the Super Bowl in 1995, over 28 years ago. In fact, the Cowboys have only won 4 playoff games since the departure of ‘Prime Time’.

As the Cowboys had the best record in the NFC East this season, the team was expected to get over their lack of playoff success in recent years. The Cowboys, who boasted a perfect 8-0 record at home, were the clear favorites to get the job done, but things did not go as planned. They lost to the Packers by a score of 48-32.

The Packers winning this match was not predicted by most people, as they barely made the playoffs with the final game of the regular season. Still, the Cowboys went down 27-0 in the first half and ended the game with the most points conceded ever in Dallas Cowboys playoff history.
