The game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets pulled a lot of famous figures to the American Airlines Center, including Dirk Nowitzki and Texas-native Patrick Mahomes. Nowitzki has made frequent visits to his den, just to admire his former team and especially Luka Dončić. Just like Nowitzki, Mahomes has been an ardent fan of Doncic’s game. While it was Kyrie Irving who stole the show on the court today, fans were excited to see Nowitzki and Mahomes as well.

Before the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback watched Irving’s masterclass, he and Nowitzki had a moment together in the tunnel. Mahomes and Nowitzki wore different shades of blue to show their support for their favorite team. The Mavericks shared a picture of the two champions on their Instagram which has caught the attention of quite a lot of users on social media.

Well, the two surely went home happy as the Mavs were able to overpower the reigning champs 107-105 on the back of Kyrie’s 37-point performance. A back-and-forth contest shifted the way of Dallas as Irving dropped a stunning floater at the buzzer to win it for his team. It helped take all the attention away from the celebrities sitting in the front row.

While a few were surprised at this unexpected crossover, most of them decided to troll Mahomes for a few things. What did the 3x Super Bowl champ even do?

Mahomes wore a blue ‘Louis Vitton’ T-shirt as mentioned above, along with baggy jeans, which a few surprisingly found to be funny. Commenting on his outfit, a fan shared, “Why Pat look like his mom dressed him up for his 1st day of middle school.” Well, this was just the start. They also took a jab at his hilarious pose next to Dirk Nowitzki. 

While the Mavericks icon was busy making a candid talk, Mahomes tried to pull off a stylish pose, where he tried to showcase his dress. Sadly, fans did not resist making a joke out of it too. A fan commented, “Why does Patrick Mahomes look like a 2-D cut out in the second pic?” mocking his awkward pose. Another fan added, “Mahomes looks like a little kid who just met Dirk,” commenting about the NFL superstar about his innocence.

Some commented, “Mahomes to cowboys”, and, “Mahomes wants to be a cowboy just sign em.” The 28-year-old has just started a dynasty with Kansas City. Although he is a Texas native, it is very unlikely that he will join the Cowboys. Anyhow, he will continue to root for the Mavericks, just for Luka Doncic!
