As 2023 comes to an end, does Michael Jordan still stand at the top of the NBA hierarchy? Though it is still up for discussion, as Good Morning America was doing its yearly rundown of the funniest moments of 2023, a clip resurfaced of an NFL legend crowing Michael Jordan as the greatest player of all time during a hilarious slip-up on live television.

Even though Michael Strahan is one of the regulars on the show, it didn’t stop his co-host from accidentally calling him Michael Jordan. But Strahan quickly turned it around and accepted it as the biggest honor imaginable.

Although his career pales in comparison to that of Michael Jordan, Strahan did everything he could while being a defensive end for his team. Strahan made seven Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams during his time with the Giants. He even won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2001 while leading the Giants to the Super Bowl match the same year, but came up short in the end. Of course, Jordan has never lost in the finals.

While Strahan was more defensively oriented, Jordan was exceptional at both ends of the game, making him one of two players in NBA history to win the scoring title along with the Defensive Player of the Year award in their career.

Cleveland Cavaliers make the iconic comeback from a 1-3 deficit in 2016 changed everything for a young engineering aspirant within me. Rather than simply looking at the game, I love to analyze how each player contributes to a team using BPM (Box Plus Minus) and other advanced metrics.
