Former NBA forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis has turned the NBA world upside down. Davis is found guilty in an alleged scheme to defraud a special insurance plan meant for NBA players and their families of over $5 million. The 8-year NBA veteran is well known for his contribution to the Boston Celtics‘ 2008 championship. He is sentenced to 40 months punishment by the federal judge as per a report by ESPN. While the entirety of social media is shocked to find the retired NBA player’s reaction to his sentence, Shannon Sharpe also expressed his opinion on the matter.

While speaking of the matter, the NFL legend shared he is upset by the fact that how the players who need the fund will suffer because of this scandal. Talking about the lavish spending of the athletes, Sharpe said, “Now you make it hard because oh you you heard cases of how players that really needed that benefits When NFL players try to do the exact same thing oh yeah and when players actually needed it they was turned away.”

“And these jacka**es that was 100% healthy that didn’t need it that they wasted their money because they had five chicks they had six homes they had 12 cars they blew all their money and now you messing it up for somebody else I don’t feel sorry for him,” Sharpe said in the latest episode of The Nightcap show.

Following his sentence, Davis will be placed under three years of supervision. Throughout this period, he will attend mandatory financial management classes and receive necessary drug treatment. He will also have to pay his restitution which is about $80,000. The clip showing Davis’ reaction was also shown in the episode.

As per sources, there were false claims for several medical care services. It stated that Davis claimed to have spent $132,000 on various things and said he got $27,200 worth of dental work in Beverly Hills on October 2, 2018. However, the authorities found his location to be in Las Vegas and then in Paris.

What shocked the netizens was Davis’ reaction to the entire situation. Soon after he was sentenced, the 38-year-old took to his social media to share his emotions.

With a smile on his face, Davis can be seen saying, “Damn, I got a cold imagination though. I’m going to have to choke the chicken in the bathroom. That’s crazy. I’m going to be swole though. I’m about to get in so much shape. That’s the only way you can stop me from eating hamburgers is putting me in jail.” Davis also played for the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Twenty-two names have come forward that are involved in the scheme. Terrence Williams and Keyon Dooling are also a part of the 18 former NBA players involved in it. Fans and experts are equally shocked by the news.
