In a recent interview, he revealed some of his goals for the future. He also talked about how he is motivated by the impact that Deion Sanders has had on the Colorado Buffaloes.

After seeing how Sanders deals with his players and how he has stood up for his own son, he agrees that he will also do the same when his wishes come true.

Shaquille O’Neal is learning from Sanders

In a recent interview with Rex Chapman, Shaquille O’Neal talked about his desire to own an NBA team in Florida. Following this, Shaq was asked what he would do differently as the owner of a team. Shaq said that he wants to be like Deion Sanders when Sanders is in the locker room of the Buffaloes.

Shaquille O’Neal likes what he is seeing from Deion Sanders. Shaq has said, “When you have someone who has been to the mountaintop consistently, then they are like a basketball God. So Deion is a football God. The kids, they know what Prime Time is.“

So since Deion has already done it all himself, the ‘kids’ can trust him. They believe every word that Sanders is telling them because he himself has achieved what he has set out to do. He is a two-time Super Bowl winner.

Shaq is a big fan of Sanders and everything he is doing in Colorado. Even the way he is raising his own children, and how he is with all the players on the team, Shaq believes, will turn out great for him. He is teaching the kids to be stand-up players and remain unbothered about the trash-talking and flexing their opponents may do, as it will be part of the culture when they make it to the NFL.

So once Shaq becomes the owner of an NBA team, he wants to be just like Sanders, and influence his players the same way.

Deion Sanders stands with his kid

During a game against UCLA, Shilo Sanders was ejected for targeting a player from the opposing team. The ejection received mixed reactions from fans. This disqualification of Sanders has a huge impact on the rest of the team. Deion Sanders himself called the decision from the referees “horrendous“.

As Deion is far more experienced in football than most people, it would be wise to listen to what he is saying. Based on his knowledge, the players also give it their all for every call that Sanders makes.
