Despite Being Admittedly Salty Over Heartbreaking Detroit Loss, Jalen Rose Is Full of Praise for the 49ers Organization

Former NBA forward Jalen Rose has been an ardent fan of Detroit football and was extremely proud of the Detroit Lions after they won their first playoff game in over 3 decades. He understandably became smug after another win against the LA Rams. However, after the Lions lost to the San Francisco 49ers 31-34, all of Rose’s Super Bowl desires came to an end. On top of all this, the 50-year-old was at Levi’s stadium watching the disappointment live.
Despite the sudden turn of events, Rose, as promised, showed the preview of his sad ride back home along with his buddies. The ex-NBA star was left with no choice but to admit that he was salty, which he shared in a post captioned, “Super Bowl Preview!!!” He said, “Yep I’m salty my lions lost,” before his companion, hip hop mogul Birdman, started praising the 49ers organization for their hospitality, especially 3x Super Bowl champ Jerry Rice, who was in attendance along with them.
“Them just show love, bro,” Birdman said, while Rose took some more names to thank. Speaking of his admiration for Rice, Rose said, “There’s human beings and then there’s him,” before Birdman announced, “Super Bowl, we’re coming, me and my team, my friends. We will be at the Bowl.” Rose proceeded to introduce everyone sitting with them.

Fumbling a 17-point lead in two quarters, that too in the NFC Championship game must feel bitter. Anyhow, for Rose, this playoff run is just a stat for bigger and better things. After three decades, the Lions have won a playoff game not once, but twice this season. Rose takes pride in all of these achievements. That’s a loyal fan indeed.

You could see on Twitter and Instagram that the fans have already started to lose hope in the Lions. Rose is the only man out there who is already looking forward to their next season. The only thing he had to tweet after their loss was, “Proud of my @lions.”

Before the game, Rose used social media to share some overconfident takes. Lions were up 17 against the 49ers at halftime and Rose tweeted, “Proud of my guys.” Just about an hour later, the scores were equaled after the 49ers kicked the ball for a tie game. Though it was a bit concerning for the Lions fans, Rose was excited for the thrilling match-up.
He added another tweet, “Nobody said it was gonna be easy,” showing that he was unfazed by the tie game. Sadly for him, the 49ers completed their comeback. Even at a disappointing time like this, the Indiana Pacers great gave a shoutout to coach Dan Campbell and a few other stars of the Lions.
