The 45-year-old even compared the situation with his time with the Brooklyn Nets. He explained, “When we (Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce) were in Brooklyn, I was like sh**t, this is the end of the road for me. I am gonna have some fun these years. I am in a big city.”

This was one of the worst trade deals in the NBA history. While the Boston Celtics hit a masterstroke with their draft picks from the trade, the Nets could not get close to winning a championship. Considering this, would Rodgers be interested in having fun?

The Jets came out victorious in the game against the Buffalo Bills 22-16. However, before the team could return to their locker room to celebrate, the star of the game was already out because of his injury. According to the report, Rodgers could have torn his Achilles tendon during the first quarter. The injury could be a potentially career-ending one.

With Rodgers out of the picture, a big question looms over the Jets’ position this year. This makes us wonder if the former Celtics star is right about his prediction. After his disappointing experience with the Nets, he might know a thing or two about playing in a competitive league with an aging body. What do you think about Pierce’s take? Do you agree with him? Do tell us in the comments below.
