Additionally, Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, had not seen the project, which led to a “high probability” of the project not actually materializing.

Once again, the social media world has a new update to share. This time it’s not a rumor, as there are some facts to support it. In a recent update, Sneaker News, with the help of its official X account, announced an enthralling update. Alongside a couple of pictures of Kobe Bryant with his beloved daughter, Gianna Bryant, collaged with the new sneakers, they penned, “Nike Kobe 4 Protro ‘Girl Dad.'”

Moreover, they also added some details while revealing the pictures of the shoes: “Release Date: May 31st, 2024. The design is said to be inspired by the Eagles beanie worn in this heartwarming photo of Kobe and his daughter.” Sounds fascinating, right? Yes, it is. But the pair of sneakers are more special than it may seem.

Interestingly, the Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Girl Dad” is specially designed to signify the special bond shared by Kobe Bryant with his second daughter, whom he lovingly called ‘Mambacita’ and ‘Gigi’. As it would be Gigi’s 18th birthday, Nike found the occasion apt for releasing the masterpiece that marks an important milestone in continuing the legacy of the late NBA legend.

Notably, the sneakers are specially crafted to turn heads with their refreshing take. They feature a greenish hue on the upper side with a metallic silver shine on the counter heel, which is added to signify Kobe’s signature. Moreover, Nike has contrasted these bright colors with a black swoosh, sock liner, and laces, along with an underfoot tonal foam paired with a rubber outsole. Undoubtedly, the shoes pass all comfort tests, but that’s not the only interesting part about them.
