Last week, the Denver Nuggets staged a dramatic comeback, dodging a potential 3-0 deficit against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Behind this blow was a dominant head, Nikola Jokic, who finished with 24 points, 9 assists, 3 blocks, 14 rebounds, and 3 steals. Even though Jokic was quiet in the first two games, in Game 3, he showed what Denver’s MVP possesses.

This turned out to be a pivotal factor, attracting 79 of 99 first-place votes. And, Jokic finally added a third MVP title to his long list of accolades. Not only this, but he also became the seventh player in the history of the NBA to accomplish 3 MVP titles in four seasons. As this news came across the NBA legend, Rasheed Wallace, he was urged to share his insights about the same.

He immediately sat with the team of Sheed and Tyler and recorded an interview. The glimpse of this conversation was then posted on their official YouTube channel with the title, ‘Sheed & Bonzi Explain Why Jokic DESERVED His 3rd MVP.” Within hours, the interview session started making waves online.

While talking up Jokic, Rasheed said, “The rebounding on both ends is what sets it apart, and for him to be doing that as he said from the center position, that’s good. But it’s also now with that being said.” he added, “right, the third time he won MVP as a big, yeah so we’re looking at it as this game started to sway back into where you need a big, getting away from this small ball. I mean, his three and four was Joel Embiid, another big, so also, if you go two before that, Giannis is a big man.

However, that’s just Rasheed’s take, and not everyone feels the same. And, this “Inside the NBA” show host is one of them.

How does Shaquille O Neal feel about Jokic’s MVP win?

In a recent interview posted on “NBA on TNT,” Shaquille O’Neal sat with Jokic to share how he felt about Jokic’s recent win. “You know I love you, you’re the best player in the league…I want to congratulate you, but I want you to hear it from me first. I thought that SGA should’ve been the MVP, that’s no disrespect to you, but congratulations,” he revealed.

It was crystal clear from O’Neal’s statement that he wanted Oklahoma City’s star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in place of Jokic. But, Jokic didn’t take it that way and responded immediately, “Thank you, Shaq. We don’t judge people here, so that’s fine. It’s your opinion. I’m joking,” while letting out a laugh.

However, the exchange between O’Neal and Jokic stirred debate in the basketball world, prompting the question: Was Gilgeous-Alexander truly more deserving than Jokic? Comment below to share your thoughts!
