Michael Jordan got a great reception when he was south of France last month. Thanks to Dimasax, a saxophonist who performed the Chicago Bulls theme song from the 1990s — “Sirus,” by The Alan Parsons Project. The people dining at Bagatelle restaurant in Saint Tropez shared it with love. But a few days after, Marcus Jordan’s rather controversial video was quick to overshadow. A 3x NBA All-Star who placed MJ on a high pedestal was even ready to award the GOAT title to somebody else. But the younger Jordan remains indifferent.

Amidst all the drama, the Trophy Room founder uploaded a carousel with another vacation. Marcus Jordan could be seen hanging out with his friends, captioned “🫣Gotta lay down when you make bed🛌✨ 🔵🟢🔴.” Apart from his post, the founder of the 33-year-old also uploaded a fair share of stories from his trip to Monte Carlo.

The updates included a visit the Restaurant Ceto known for its exquisite ingredients locally from the Mediterranean land and sea. He and his friends also stayed at The Maybourne Riviera, a 5-star French Riviera Hotel, soaking in all that the private beach at the Maybourne La Plage: Riviera Beach Club had to offer. During his previous visit, Marcus was accompanied by Ashley Stevenson, whom he was rumored to be dating. She had even shared her excitement for the trip, arranging her passport last minute. But both Jordan and her were quick to dismiss any claims of a relationship. “I’m single… Marcus and I are NOT dating and haven’t been,” she had written. Days in, Stevenson has unfollowed Marcus Jordan and has her account on private.

The timing slightly collides with the incident that saw Marcus photographed with some ‘white powder’ — around August 8th. Though there has been no confirmation or a response, it hasn’t been a good picture for the Trophy Room founder and a few are here to seemingly remind him that.

Marcus Jordan’s incident brings Michael Jordan into conversation

A week ago, the RHOM star, Larsa Pippen shared a post, captioning “Sipping.” It may seem there was no malice from Larsa Pippen, but her friend Porsha Williams’ comment made it crystal clear. “Sipping not sniffing 🌟🔥.” Pippen’s further reply was “@porsha4real never that 🥰.

Even a self-professed Michael Jordan fan couldn’t resist joking about the situation. Gilbert Arenas compared the situation with LeBron James’ son, who had a smoking incident when he was 15 years of age. “So the fact that Michael Jordan sh** son was circulating with the white powder and it’s still there he can’t be the GOAT. He can’t be the GOAT.”

The snaps were circulated on social media reportedly by fan accounts. And Arenas argument is that nothing has been done about it, unlike the 4x NBA champion, who was quick to mask his son’s instance. But neither of the Jordans is letting the narratives hinder their time.
