Recently, the American Country singer Eric Church appeared for an interview with Esquire. During the conversation, he shed light on several things. Talking about his recent acquisition, the host had an intriguing question for him. Church was asked if he would be able to beat the 6x champion in basketball. His response wasn’t surprising. However, it showcased yet another fascinating facet of the legend. After much thoughtful consideration, Church stated, “He’s 60. Umm…if I get the ball first, maybe in 10 years. Maybe, probably not today. He’s competitive as hell.” He added, “If he reads that question before we play, no f**king way.”

MJ is still very much the same competitor he was on the court. While his abilities might not be the same anymore, it seems like the legend still has enough skill to win a game against Church. The 46-year-old singer wisely chose to accept his defeat against the champion. This interview came after he made the news headlines for his purchase of an ownership stake in Charlotte Hornets.

Eric Church has an ownership stake in the Charlotte Hornets

Earlier this year, Jordan made a deal worth $3 billion to sell his majority share in the Charlotte Hornets. The deal saw him become the richest NBA player ever. The share was sold to a group led by Rick Schnall and Gabe Plotkin. Church, J. Cole, Chris Shumway, and more are also part of the group.
