The graduation day has finally arrived for Justin Pippen! After announcing his college choice a few weeks ago, fans were eagerly looking forward to his high school graduation at Sierra Canyon. His loved ones joined him as the 19-year-old donned the cap and gown to officially begin a new chapter in his life. While Justin’s mother Larsa Pippen also joined in on the celebrations along with her kids, the absence of the Chicago Bulls’ legend Scottie Pippen from the pictures was noted. But did the 6x NBA champion not show up at all?

To fill in the initial absence of his father, Justin’s siblings accompanied him. Sophia, Preston, and Scotty Pippen Jr. were also in attendance as per Larsa’s Instagram Stories. The mother of three shared a clip of Justin receiving his diploma on stage and wrote, “Congrats my love @justinpippen.”

Another picture of Larsa posing with Justin followed it. She captioned it, “I’m so proud of all of your hard work. I love you so much.” She shared another snap from the graduation event on her Instagram story, which had the Pippen kids pose together. But one thing was common in all these pictures: the absence of Scottie Pippen. However, the 58-year-old didn’t remain absent for too long as he eventually did show up at the ceremony.

Pippen, who had recently been spotted at the Euro League Final Four in Berlin, Germany, along with Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, might have gotten late to his son’s graduation. It might be due to his complicated relationship with his ex-wife as well. But all’s well that ends well, right? The NBA icon shared a picture from the ceremony on Instagram with his four kids and captioned it, “Proud dad moment! Congrats, son!”

The Chicago Bulls legend might have been late to his son’s graduation day, but the father of seven was present when Justin announced his college choice.

Sophia and Scottie Pippen showed support for Justin

After much thought on Florida and Stanford, the Sierra Canyon star made his final decision to go with the Michigan Wolverines. While Larsa wasn’t with Justin for the announcement, his sister and father, Scottie, were present to lift his spirits. However, the RHOM actress didn’t forget to show some love to her son. She congratulated Justin through a special Instagram Story. The caption read, “So proud of you my love @justinpippen We’re going to Michigan.”

A clip of the trio sitting together for the announcement was shared by Scottie on his Instagram. He captioned it, “Justin’s college commitment!!” along with heart emojis and “Wolverines#” It seems the 6x NBA champion is happy with his son’s decision.

The four-star senior shared that he chose Michigan to prepare himself for the NBA. His brother Scotty Pippen Jr. is also in the NBA, playing for the Memphis Grizzlies. “I was really going to make a decision between my other schools…Then I got a call from Coach Dusty May (Michigan Head Coach). I wanted to give him a chance. We set up a Zoom call. I went on a visit and I felt it was the right place and situation for me,” Justin told ESPN.

Despite not being seen together, the 7x NBA All-Star and Larsa are co-parenting and have shown full support to their kids. Given the circumstances of their divorce, it is hard to say whether they will be spotted together at any event in the future.
