‘Non-Covid Illness’ Forces Charles Barkley to Miss Out on Man-Crush Jason Momoa’s “Possibly Concerning” Confession

Flu-1, Chuck-0. The sniffles couldn’t have picked a worse day to get Charles Barkley. He took an early leave from TNT to get over his cold while his fellow analysts got the next best thing to meeting Chuck’s man-crush. He has a few of them. But he rarely ever begs Ernie ‘The Godfather’ Johnson to pull some strings and get his crush on Inside the NBA. Jason ‘Chuckster’s Crush’ Momoa did send all his love to his 6’6″ fan. “I love Charles Barkley,” the actor said in response to the old clip of Chuck saying, “Man, I love me some Jason Momoa.”

Mr. Aquaman himself shared a video message for the 1993 NBA MVP. “Charles, I didn’t know what to say. Your words were definitely flattering, and possibly concerning. I want you to know that I’m a big fan of yours as well. I love you. Hoping that schedules work out soon and I can join you in person.” That was Momoa’s video message to Barkley while NBA on TNT was promoting another Warner Bros creation, Aquaman 2.

Charles Barkley missed it along with the entire Warriors-Celtics action. As Ernie Johnson (not so) sadly said it’s bad that he had to leave, “Because Jason got word of his affinity for him.” Just call a crush a crush, Ernie.

The non-COVID flu has been affecting pockets of the NBA here and there. Chuck caught it at the worst time since he was badly wishing for his 6’4″ crush to be on TNT. The hardworking production staff also dug into their archives and procured the footage of Barkley’s public confession.

Because they don’t let him breathe even when he’s got a stuffy nose, they added the sexy saxophone music and romantic vibes to go with the clip of Sir Charles calling Jason Momoa the ‘sexiest man alive.’ He even made a pitch to have him on the show some time. “Ernie, you can get that. You’re the godfather.” He’d again say, “I’m a big Jason Momoa fan. We should get him on the podcast,” he said before issuing the invite himself.

“Ay, Jason Momoa, come on The Steam Room with me and Ernie.” Damn, Chuck, play it cool. Like you do it with your other man-crushes.

Charles Barkley’s ‘man crush’ list

People magazine should consult Sir Charles every time they release their list of the ‘Sexiest Man Alive.’ When Chris Evans won, he was pitching for Michael B. Jordan.

But his ultimate crush will remain, “Tom, just Tom.” That’s Tom Brady, the guy who gets cursed by Barkley for making him lose $100,000 on a Super Bowl wager. Charles plays hot and cold though, briefly replacing Idris Elba with Brady on his list.

That’s a coveted list to be in. Jason Momoa better step up his game.
