Magic Johnson’s role in the surprising choice

A club owner once offered Johnson big stakes in his club, but he unexpectedly decided to turn it down in favor of pursuing other interests.

The Instagram handle of Magic Johnson shared thoughts on the reel, stating, “NBA legend Magic Johnson played overseas in Sweden for a team that he owned and the team was also named after him. He purchased the team in 1998 and he played for the team in the 1999-2000 season”. The video continues by mentioning, “The team Magic M7 competed in the Swedish league and Magic Johnson was 40 years old at the time and he played in a total of five games. In those five games, he had a 30-point game and he also had another game where he had 11 Dimes in the first 2.5 minutes”.

He prioritized other projects over self-interest, showing a side of himself that is sometimes overlooked in favor of his basketball skills and financial savvy.
