Dwyane Wade just made the best prediction. Longtime rivals LeBron James and Stephen Curry teamed up for the Olympics, and an extraordinary moment was quite expected. As James’ clutch bucket led Team USA to a 101-100 victory over South Sudan, Curry was seen praising the veteran and calling for a celebration. The moment had D-Wade saying out loud the wish in every fan’s mind.

As the Curry-James off-court conversation went viral, the 3X NBA Champ thought aloud that a special documentary about Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics would be a hit 20 years in the future just like The Last Dance featuring Chicago Bulls’ three-peat win. And we couldn’t agree more!

Wade contentedly made the prediction on his X handle. “This documentary in 20 years will be insane!” he wrote. The documentary featuring Michael Jordan and his teammates was published 22 years later during the outbreak of COVID-19.

Around $22 million was spent on making the docuseries which ultimately became a huge hit averaging 5.6 million viewers per episode. In that case, we might have to wait 20 years for the documentary to come out, or could be a bit sooner if the stars align.

Going viral was natural for the conversation. James, talking about liking the tough moments of the games quickly caught everyone’s attention. Indeed, it was a testing time for the 4x NBA champ, who shot a layup to clinch a win.

Following this, James was heard saying, “I like those ones better than the blowouts, at least we get tested. I like getting tested, baby,” to Curry in the tunnel. The Warriors star just said what the fans would have wanted. Reminding him of the signature “Closer” celebration, Curry said, “Put the closer on.”

LeBron James’ clutch shot saved the day

This is James’s chance to win his third Olympic gold medal after those in 2008 and 2012. He is quite serious about it. After all, from what we saw in the game, it wasn’t an easy feat.

It was a close call. But thanks to James’ winning shot with just 8 seconds remaining in the clock, we have a reason for a little celebration. The Los Angeles Lakers veteran scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting, along with 6 rebounds and 7 assists.

South Sudan almost had the chance to win however, Team USA managed to get the upper hand with Carlik Jones missing a floater, and Wenyen Gabriel missing on an attempted putback. And finally, Anthony Edwards had the possession of the ball. Anthony Davis and Joel Embidd added 15 and 14 points respectively.

The Miami Heat legend might not be wrong about his prediction. Perhaps, a documentary based just on moments of James and Curry enjoying their teamwork could also be in line.
