Anna Wintour’s Met Gala event themed, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” is all set to take place on May 1st at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The event notably fetches a hefty 8 figure amount every year. As significant as the fundraising event is, the celebrity’s competitive and viral-worthy looks that we will get to see are a big part of the celebrations as well. And just so we can hype you up a bit, Dwyane Wade has already kicked off his preparation for the big night. 

To look fit and dapper in a new outfit for the event, the 3x NBA champion has opted for a new fitness regimen to lose his love handles. The Miami Heat legend used to be 220 lbs when he dominated on the court, and he’s intent on getting back to those standards. D-Wade shared a selfie of himself sweat-drenched from his workout on his Instagram stories. Along with that, he wrote, “Project: Lose the Love Handles Getting ready for May Met Gala.” 

While the Flash has already shown his fashion magic at the event before, this year is special because of Wade’s partnership with Versace. In simple words, we can anticipate a stunning appearance just like the one he and his wife gave the fans last year.

D-Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union made their Met Gala debut in the year 2015. Even back then Wade donned a classic Versace black tuxedo for the night, while Gabrielle wore a berry red gown by Zax Posen.

Right now, if you look at Wade’s Met Gala look, his white bow tie and the European military-styled accessories and jewelry from Buccellati seem like a hint for his future transformation. Their second appearance at the star-studded event was in 2022. And the duo didn’t disappoint. The Flash served a suave look in a Versace white jacket embellished with gold buttons.

The photo of D-Wade with his open jacket showing his ripped body while posing alongside Union went viral on the internet. The black Versace walking stick in his hand just enhanced his look even more. To match her husband’s chic fashion, Gab wore a Versace silver dress. Then in 2023, Wade wore a Prada black outfit and enhanced it with a crescent moon-shaped brooch and chain bracelets by Tiffany & Co. On the other hand, Union wore an all-red leather suit.
