NBA giant Shaquille O’Neal is best known for his cool and charming persona. His jolly character enamors fans and other people around him. Thanks to social media, the athlete is connected with all his fans. And he keeps sharing hilarious videos and memes with them. Going back to the 2005 All-Star game, the 4-time NBA champion and the future Hall of Famer were locker room-mates. They shared the same locker room with some of the big names of the basketball world such as Allen Iverson and Paul Pierce too.

Taking the ‘Flash’ by surprise, the legend took out his shoe phone. The phone was set on the shoe, making it hard to differentiate. O’Neal dialed his phone and passed it to Dwyane. He also showed off his shoe phone to Iverson. Both of them were shocked. Turns out the phone works as well! Quite cool right?

They were impressed with the shoe phone and immediately wanted to know more about it. What’s more, this shoe phone was entirely O’Neal’s idea. If O’Neal’s claim is true, then that indeed makes the NBA legend a true media genius.
Shaquille O’Neal gave away his $30 million deal
Did you know that O’Neal once made an expensive sacrifice for the Heat legend? After a dispute with the late Lakers legend, Kobe Bryant, the Big Aristotle left the Los Angeles Lakers. The main reason was because of the disagreement with the contract between the athlete and the franchise.

Next in the year 2004, the player signed a five-year deal worth $100 million with the Miami Heat.
But the intriguing part comes when the player revealed that he had the opportunity to select a $30 million. But what he wanted was an extended contract. So, he decided to accept a secondary role to Wade. However, walking away from the deal did good to him as the Miami Heat won the championship in 2006. Another reason for his decision was Antoine Walker who wanted to play alongside him.
