The NBA champion proved he still has the skills to dominate the basketball court. But he’s not the one who’s impressed his son. Zaire Wade is instead enraptured by another Miami Heat legend.

Udonis Haslem stepped back from the NBA after 20 spectacular seasons. He’s now joined his former teammate, Dwyane Wade on the Way of Wade promotions. And he’s scoring brownie points with Wade’s son while he’s at it.

Udonis Haslem makes a memorable impression on Dwayne Wade’s son

The 2023 Li Ning Tour in China is star powered. Along with his son, Zaire, Dwyane Wade has brought on Udonis Haslem and D’Angelo Russell to the Li Ning Shanghai Center. The players showcased some NBA championship-winning skills among local players and won social media. Even Zaire, who played basketball internationally, stunned the Internet.

But who’s shocking the impressionable 21-year-old? That is Dwyane Wade’s former teammate, Udonis Haslem. He’s been gushing about being in the same event with Russell and Haslem, but his recent post shows he’s a fan of the Heat culture pioneer.

It started with Varun Piplani, an associate of Haslem, sharing a video on his Stories. The video showed that Haslem can still dunk, stunning the players and media personnel gathered in the court.

Zaire reposted that video in his Instagram Stories. And he added a very legitimate caption, “@ud40 ez had a couple szn left.” Haslem reposted the clip on his Stories for the third time. It appears he agrees.

The Way of Wade frontman also shares similar sentiments about his teammate. Wade has a brotherly bond with Haslem and together they form the cornerstones of Heat culture.

Udonis Haslem spent his entire 20-year NBA career with Miami Heat. He won his three championship rings alongside D-Wade. In 2023, he finally hung up his #40 Heat jersey. At 43 years old, he surpassed LeBron James as the oldest active NBA player at the time of his retirement.

Like Zaire said, he could still do seasons 21 and 22. He’s nonetheless enjoying the post-NBA life together with his other half. He celebrated 10 years of marriage with his wife Faith Rein this month. And he’s also continuing his partnership with ‘The Flash’ beyond the NBA. Fans hope they see more of this duo together.
