Two years ago, some fans were livid regarding La La Anthony’s portrayal in the hit BMF series because her character Markisha was in a relationship with Terry Flenory (Da’Vinchi). Naturally, co-star Kash Doll stepped in and defended the role in the series. “They better not say s— about my sis.” That sisterhood bond was once again on display as the rapper/songwriter credited the La La for helping out before her first-ever intimate scene.

We can’t drink on set, but me and @lilmeechbmf we snuck one. … @lala gave me a quick little rundown before I went in there. She was like, ‘These are the angles. This what you got to think about.'” In an interview with Shannon Sharpe, Kash Doll, who is a mother of two, spoke about shooting the intimate scenes in BMF. “That was my first time doing something like that with all them cameras on and stuff. ‘I’m like oh my God’!” Last year, even La La Anthony opened up about shooting intimate scenes all while being a mother.

During an interview with Vibe, the former VJ said, “My family is with all of it.” When asked if she was worried about her 17-year-old son and his reaction. “I was never worried about that, but you have to be vulnerable, of course. And for me as a woman, we all have our insecurities, so baring it all can be a bit of an uncomfortable thing. You work with so many amazing people that make those scenes comfortable.”

Working through those insecurities, La La Anthony was able to help her co-star Kash Doll. The latter even stated, “And I’m like ‘all right, okay I can do this’ and I went in there and I did it.” Even though the series has been a hit, fans did question the portrayal of the character Markisha and her closeness with Terry Flenory in the show.

Kash Doll once defended La La Anthony about her

The series is supposedly based on real characters and stories, but it has obviously added some twists of its own. Even Tonesa Welch, on whom the character Markisha is based, thrashed the show: “ Markisha’s character is shown in bad likeness. I don’t agree with the timeline or the character traits. This show pretends it’s not me, but everybody in Detroit or half the country know it’s me.” During the hate against La La and the show, Kash Doll stepped in.

I mean but that happened these days; why is it a problem? And she’s acting it; ain’t like she’s dating them for real. Why the fu– is it a problem right? Wow, they just mad, everybody leave La La alone.” While speaking to TMZ, the rapper made it clear that it is a fiction show and not 100% real.

Because you know what a lot of it is not all the way true. Like it’s based on a true story, but they’re putting the little sauce on it.” Despite just being an actor, Kash Doll had to step in and stop the hate towards La La Anthony.
