You’re 0 and 17 on our preview show.” Ernie Johnson recently reminded Charles Barkley about his losing parlays on the NBA games. Chuck calls himself a ‘degenerate gambler’ and his losing bets are not only limited to hooping. In fact, he has even lost $100,000 in nearly every Super Bowl because he was betting against Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. He even revealed his total number of losses against the Chiefs, which led to the rival team’s interjection.

One would wonder, if Charles Barkley is betting on the KC to lose, then why would a rival oppose? Well, it’s simple because of the 76ers legend being a ‘curse.'”Adam, I have bet against Pat Mahomes like six straight games. This is true now. Last year against Buffalo, I thought they were gonna lose.” Adam Lefkoe, the host of TNT Tuesday, was the guest on the recent episode of The Steam Room podcast and confirmed that Chuck had lost that bet.

Plus an additional information about the Bills organization and their message to the NBA legend. “He texted me about this, he was like, tell Chuck to stop betting against me,” added Lefkoe. The bet concerns the 2023 divisional playoff game, but even this year, the 1993 NBA MVP had high hopes for the Bills, who are currently valued at $5.08 billion, according to pe-insights.com.

Back in September, Charles Barkley on the Bill Simmons Podcast, was very bullish about the Bills winning the Super Bowl this year. “The Buffalo Bills win their first Super Bowl. I got the Eagles against the Bills and the Bills win their first Super Bowl.” Maybe Chuck should have listened to that message from the Bills, as his prediction did not bear fruition for the team that competes in the AFC East. But the 11x All-Star is not stopping with his bets.

Despite losses, Charles Barkley will continue to stick to his tradition

As stated previously, the 76ers legend has a 0-6 record against the Chiefs. After the loss against the Bills, Chuck proceeded to bet against Mahomes once more when they faced the Ravens for the 2023 AFC Divisional Championship. But KC would win against the Baltimore team 17-10, but Barkley didn’t stop there. For the Super Bowl vs 49ers, the 61-year-old trusted the latter but ended up on the losing side once again.

Those losses might put some dent in Charles Barkley’s pockets, but not in his hopes. “Pat Mahomes, I’m taking my Eagles against you too. Let’s get that out the way.” He stated on the same Steam Room episode with Adam Lefkoe. But TNT Tuesday’s host was not a fan of this and sent a message of his own to the Chuckster. “No, you need to lose for the good of the city.”

Despite being on the losing side six times, Barkley is ready to go against Mahomes once again. Let’s not forget, these teams are on the verge of making history in the NFL, as they’re aiming to capture their third consecutive Super Bowl victory—something that’s never been achieved before. If Chuck wins this bet, he wouldn’t mind losing six more, as he would have nailed the biggest one.
