The Paul Pierce and Vita Vea beef seems to be reaching its final stage very soon. It all started when the Boston Celtics legend disrespected Vea during an episode of KG Certified. Since then, there have been a few back-and-forths between the two, and now it looks like we’re about to witness a conclusion to it.

Kevin Garnett recently posted a clip of Pierce on his social media, declaring that his Celtics teammate is coming for Vea, and that too in a 40-yard dash.

KG wrote, “This is about to be a movie 🍿 @PaulPierce34 responds to @VitaVea about a potential $1M race… who y’all taking in a 40-yard dash? 👀” Although the Celtics legend didn’t mention his pick in this race, it is safe to assume that he will back his old friend and ex-teammate in this battle. However, when the conversation around Vea first started on his podcast, Garnett was in appreciation of his talents while Pierce was taking shots at him. So, it could go either way, but one thing is guaranteed: this is about to be a movie.

The NBA veterans made this a burning topic in classic KG Certified fashion. Tony Cavallo, who was a guest on the podcast said that Vea is faster than everyone present in the room. This claim didn’t sit well with Pierce and he started boasting about the great shape that he is in and claimed that he would beat Vea in a 40-yard dash.

Paul Pierce’s tall claim against Vita Vea started this new feud

Vea is 347 lbs and is the 13th heaviest player in the league right now. He usually plays as the nose tackle for the Buccaneers. While KG agreed to the claim made by Cavallo, Pierce took it more as a challenge. The 2008 champion believes that he can take on the 28-year-old. He said, “Nah he don’t move faster than me right now. I’ve been working out”. Although Garnett immediately gave him a chance to reconsider, Pierce remained adamant about his opinion.

KG said, “He chases quarterbacks for a living.” Pierce responded with, “I’ve been running sprints…nobody 400 pounds beating me.” From that point, the chase was on and Vea also accepted the challenge with a comment under the clip. He commented, “@paulpierce I got 100k you ain’t gone beat me.” Now that it’s a movie, it will be interesting to see who wins this battle.
