NBA veteran Paul Pierce has once again stirred the pot. After his controversial pick for the top 5 best NBA players, Pierce’s latest comment about the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs has gained fans’ attention. One of the players from the aforementioned team also shared his opinion on the matter.

In the latest episode of KGCertified, the legend shared that he could easily defeat the teams even at his age. As per records, both teams have shown poor performance this season. Despite having some of the best players on the roster, the teams are still struggling.

Speaking of the team’s stance, he shared that he can easily score 20 points on them. He said, “I can get a bucket on one of them teams right now.”

He added, “I can score a dub on either one of them teams right now as we speak. Their defense ain’t nothing there. I can get you a dub in a game right now today against Detroit and against San Antonio. I can get you a 20-piece nuggets.”

While the internet can’t stop talking about his statement, one of the Pistons’ player’s comments also attracted attention. In response to Pierce’s statement, 28-year-old player Monte Morris added a cap emoji, suggesting skepticism or disbelief. His message seemed to have aimed to show that he doesn’t believe in the legend’s claim.

Pierce was indeed one of the best players in the league. He is a 10x NBA All-Star, 2× Big 12 tournament MVP, and more. But his claim to defeat the Spurs and Pistons has received heat from the fans. However, the teams’ records appear to prove his point.

San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons are struggling

Both the Detroit Pistons and Spurs have faced too many losses in the beginning of the season. Both the teams’ losing streaks have left fans uncertain. The Pistons have one of the longest: a 24-game losing streak. Even with promising stars such as Cade Cunningham and Ausar Thompson, the team has not been able to change the record.

The same goes for the San Antonio Spurs. However, the Spurs have recently broken their 18-game losing streak with a win against the Los Angeles Lakers. While it is uncertain whether the Boston Celtics legend would be able to beat these teams, it will be intriguing if both the teams could take his statement as an inspiration.
