The LA Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar recently suffered a hip injury. The 76-year-old was taken to a Los Angeles hospital on Friday night. It is being said that the NBA veteran has broken his hip because of the fall. Although all the details are not clear as per TMZ, Kareem fell down during a show he was attending.

The details related to the said show are not disclosed as of now but his representative Deborah Morales informed TMZ of the known details of the incident. After the tragic news surfaced on the internet, fans from the NBA world are sending their prayers to the NBA legend for a quick recovery.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar suffers a serious injury

As per TMZ, Morales didn’t disclose where was the show and who was performing or was in attendance. Kareem’s representative said that the 76-year-old fell to the floor and the impact shattered his hip. The good thing is that the paramedics responded swiftly and took Kareem to the hospital. His condition is also not disclosed yet but Morales said that the NBA veteran is “deeply appreciative” of the help and care he received from the Los Angeles Fire Department on site. Kareem is also very grateful for the “amazing medical team and doctors at UCLA Hospital who are taking great care of (him).”

Although a precise update on Kareem’s health is not yet disclosed to the public, going by the words of his representative, there is nothing to be worried about. With proper care and treatment, the NBA veteran is going to be all right. The 76-year-old is one of the most loved and admired athletes in the world.
