Amidst their struggle, the former NBA player Kendrick Perkins’ recent opinion offers hope to the fans.

In the latest ESPN show, the retired NBA player discussed how the Lakers will surely win the series if they can maintain their consistency in the game. “Well the pressure is on the Denver Nuggets right now to close out the series so all the Lakers got to go out there and do is compete and let the chips fall where they may but we saw Anthony Davis diving on the floor tonight for loose balls we saw those the Lakers getting deflections.”

He further added, “We saw them doing all the little things fighting to get up over screens the rim protection and again you go back to the trust factor of sharing the ball and I think the Lakers are their best when they impose their will in the post.”

LeBron James and Lakers dominated in Game 4

The only opportunity for us is just to play the next game. We’ve given ourselves another life, given ourselves another lifeline. It’s a one-game series for us,” James said in the post-game conference. He further added, “Monday’s game is the most important game of the season for us, and we understand that, and we know that.”

The team faced a sweep by the Denver Nuggets in the last postseason. After suffering three consecutive losses in this series, tension was high among players and fans alike. However, the Lakers have finally stepped up their game. King James didn’t disappoint. The big trio of James, Anthony Davis, and Austin Reaves showed an efficient and effective offensive game.

While Davis contributed 25 points, Reaves maintained his dominance with 21 points. Meanwhile, the 4x NBA champion raised the intensity with 30 points. After an underwhelming performance in Game 3, D’Angelo Russell scored 21 points and 4 rebounds to help his squad.

While the Nuggets’ Big Man Nikola Jokic achieved a triple-double with 33 points, the Nuggets’ inability to counter the Los Angeles Lakers‘ offensive prowess ultimately led to their defeat. One of the reasons that the defending champions were slow. Whether the Lakers will be able to maintain the same lead remains to be seen.
