A nostalgic revisit amid Hall of Fame buzz

Gabrielle Union’s recent Instagram story has sent waves of nostalgia through the basketball world as she fondly recollects Dwyane Wade’s time with the Chicago Bulls. While it was the Instagram filter that chose the clip, Union did make the decision to share it with her fans.

Perhaps it was because Chicago is Wade’s hometown after the family moved from Miami. The veteran also co-owns the WNBA team Chicago Sky.

Wade’s tenure with the Chicago Bulls might have been short, but it was significant. In July 2016, Wade joined the Chicago Bulls with a $47 million deal after an unresolved contract dispute with the Miami Heat. He played alongside Jimmy Butler and Rajon Rondo, and in January 2017, him, Butler and Rondo were fined for criticizing their teammates’ efforts.

Despite sustaining a fractured elbow, Wade returned for the playoffs. However, the Bulls were eliminated by the Boston Celtics in the first round with a 4-2 defeat.
