Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson couldn’t team up in the NBA back then, but the duo are back together to make an impact in the sporting world. Multi-billion-dollar sports company Reebok hired the Philadelphia 76ers legend as the Vice President of their basketball operations. They could have gone with anyone else, but Shaq was adamant that he wanted to rope in Iverson. As the President of basketball at Reebok, the 4-time champion convinced Iverson to join forces with him. Anyhow, it looks like the 2001 MVP is regretting it.
Does AI not like the role there? Is he not satisfied with the deal? Well, let’s not think big because AI’s reason for regret is quite hilarious. Shaq was showing his gratitude to AI on his podcast for accepting the big offer. Iverson was appreciative and then he shared, “But but but big bro, by you doing that, you got me more problems. I’m telling you, everybody in their mom…”, Shaq chimed in, “Oh calling you about shoes”.
The Big Diesel couldn’t control his laughter. AI imitated, “‘Hey man come on man, hook my team up man, give me a spotted Reebok man, give me a job’. I’m like listen man, let me see a resume or something…I’m talking about damn near every day for the first month that I got that job, I had to deal with that.”
