Dennis Rodman became a legend for his unique style of playing. While much has been said about him, Rodman has proved with his skills that he was no less than any other legend. His fame reached its highest point when he was playing at the Chicago Bulls. However, after his sudden departure from the Bulls, he kept changing his franchises multiple times until he retired in 2000.

For Rodman, the Bulls were like his home where he was content. In his book, ‘I Should be dead by now,” he revealed that he was happy to play with the Bulls. True indeed, Michael Jordan along with other players accepted the eccentric man the way he was. Clearly, he was not in his best spirits and confidence after he left. Recalling about those days, Rodman revealed how NBA giant Magic Johnson helped him.

Dennis Rodman appreciates Magic Johnson’s kind gesture 

Even if Rodman had the Bad Boy persona, that doesn’t deny the fact that he also possessed a gentle heart. Appreciating Johnson’s good deed, he spoke about the moral support he received from him. He revealed that Johnson once invited him to one of his events. It was during the opening event of Johnson’s Fitness Center in Sherman Oaks. 

When the Worm arrived at the location, he was greeted by around 200 fans who were waiting for Magic’s autograph. But as the fans saw the Bad Boy Piston’s legend, they began to cheer for him. This adorable action enhanced his confidence. The confidence that set him apart from his fellow players. Rodman believed this is exactly why Johnson had invited him.

Praising his action, he said, “he wanted to boost my confidence, show me the public hadn’t forgotten about Dennis Rodman. It worked. The fans spotted me, and they started screaming my name.”

While the Worm didn’t forget to mention Johnson’s good deed in his book, we should also remember how years ago, he helped the 5-champion in a similar way.

Back in 1992, Johnson returned for the All-Star game. However, he was facing rejection by the other players because of the false notions surrounding Johnson’s illness and several other reasons.

However, it was Rodman who came to the rescue. While many were treating Johnson delicately and differently than before, Rodman ended the chatter with his unique action. Right at the beginning, he elbowed Johnson challenging him to show his best version. It seems both the players have quite a strange way to mentally support each other.
