Out of the 12 All-Star games that he was a part of in his 20-year NBA career, Kobe Bryant only lost two.

Known for his inspiring competitive spirit, the Black Mamba won the All-Star Game’s Most Valuable Player Award a whopping four times. Him and Bob Petit share the record for the most All-Star Game MVP awards.

To commemorate the tragic loss of the legend, the NBA renamed the award given to the MVP at its All-Star Game after the late Kobe Bryant. Hopefully, after the renaming of this award, the modern NBA players engage in the future AllStar games more competitively.
