Dwyane Wade explains the Heat culture and how it helped him play with LeBron James

The 13x All-Star answered a few questions during his latest interview with Sports Illustrated. From the Boston Celtics to his own NBA journey, The Flash gave a glimpse into it all. He may be a minority owner of the Utah Jazz, however, the Miami blood still courses through his veins. Wade County was built on the back of his excellence and unprecedented impact on the city, after all.

For years, franchise fans have glorified the term. But only a hand full have inhaled the air. Wade was one of the stars who spread this culture. It seems to be a complex and multi-faceted practice. Yet, in reality, it is just a simple trait – accountability.

“And that’s why you’re able to have success in an organization like that. When LeBron (James) and Chris Bosh come down, ‘Hey, this is how we do it here. This is what accountability looks like. This is what our culture looks like.’ And so that was my job. That’s what I was taught. And that’s what I was told. ‘This is what’s gonna get me to success?! I got to do this?! Then let me do this'” he told SI.
