According to E! News, Union wrote, “I have not had words, and even after untold amounts of therapy I am not sure I have them now. But truth matters.” However, she forgave Wade. Union once again opened up about therapy with the wife of 2017 NBA MVP Russell Westbrook.

Many times.” She then talked about the abuse she endured when she was 19 years old. Union said, “I started therapy when I was 19. It was like three or four days after I had been sexually assaulted.

She noted that she was sexually assaulted at work, so the therapy was a part of workman’s comp. She added, “The first couple of weeks, I was still black and blue from the beating during the attack. But every time I went it was like my balloon had been blown within an inch of bursting and every therapy session kind of just let a little air out, a little air out, over time.”

Union stated that she needed therapy. Furthermore, she claimed therapy helped her every time she was in similar emotional distress. She noted that she was blessed and privileged to have therapists.
