Beefing with multiple people at once is Shaquille O’Neal’s specialty. Whether it was during his NBA career or on the analysis desk, any given night, someone or the other will always be on the radar. Even with his social media fights, the list includes Dwight Howard, Charles Barkley, and Rob Gronkowski, to name a few. The Big Aristotle had no problem sizing them up and calling them out for a challenge. But recently it changed; he not only backtracked on the challenge but also had to apologize. His family would be relieved hearing this.

The Lakers legend was at the Dirty Boxing 3 in Miami and was enjoying the atmosphere to the fullest. “The first seven fights were all done by knockout. Fabulous for the sport. Fabulous for Dirty Boxer. I want to see somebody get knocked out.” Then it took an interesting turn when Shaq told the interviewer, pointing at a random guy, that he would fight him. ‘The Schmo’, confirmed if O’Neal was ready to lock hands with the Platinum? Not understanding the nickname at first, the Diesel was ready to roll, unless he got to know the full name.

Once the interviewer confirmed that it was icon Platinum Mike Perry, Shaquille O’Neal quickly said, “Oh, no, no, no, no. It’s Mike. Mike. I apologize, sir. My bad.” It was quick and it was agile, but this time, Shaq ducked from it. “I thought you were somebody else. Mike, I apologize. I’m sorry, sir. Okay.” And it made sense for the 4x NBA champion to take back his challenge. Perry is set for his next bare-knuckle test against Jeremy Stephens in the main event of BKFC 88 in Newark.

Some might say that Perry has not fought in over a year. Yet, he still remains the promotion’s biggest draw after going unbeaten in five straight contests. Just like Perry, even Shaq has a fight on his plate already, that too a big one. Charlie Mack (or Charles Alston) is reportedly a 6-foot-6 human with 290 pounds of meat, who previously was Will Smith’s security point guy. But now, on his radar is a threat in O’Neal. But what are they beefing about? He claimed that the former NBA champion tried to cut him while standing in a line during an autograph signing.

Things turned physical as Mack claimed, “I chopped him in his neck so he could get back.” He was on the Celebrity Boxing founder, Damon Feldman’s show recently, where he revealed his personal beef with Shaq. That’s when he even challenged the Lakers legend ‘Sha-knocked-out.’ At 53 years of age, will Shaq fight? Either way, his family is actually concerned.

Shaquille O’Neal’s son expressed the cause of distress

Playing in the league for 19 seasons comes at a price. During his time in the league, Shaq admitted to neglecting his family in order to focus on his career. But that focus also led him to neglect his health. The 53-year-old struggled with liver and kidney issues as a direct result of his playing career. “Always says take one, I’m taking three.” The Lakers legend needed painkillers to keep his body in playing shape. Shaq has been working on his health for the last two years, but that doesn’t mean his close friends aren’t worried.

TMZ caught up with Myles to ask what he thought about Shaquille O’Neal accepting Mack’s challenge. “I didn’t know about this. He’s old, he’s very old. I don’t know, I gotta look more into this, but hopefully I’ll be there,” he said. Although somewhat supportive, the 28-year-old DJ said, “Yeah, I’ve seen him throw. He’s still pretty agile. I wouldn’t say he should be in a boxing match. I worry about him every day.” Myles has good reason to worry.

His dad is 53, had hip replacement surgery three years ago. So, for sure, we might see Shaq bumping and falling on the TNT sets, but that doesn’t mean he could do the same in the ring.
