Under the Hollywood lights on May 8, Scottie Pippen stepped from the shadows, his first A-list appearance since 2018, joining Matt Barnes at Hidden Empire’s athlete-storyteller gala. What drove the retired Bulls great back into the spotlight, and what does it mean for a family already cast by wedding whispers?
On May 12, Hidden Empire Films and The Union hosted the HESC showcase in LA, spotlighting athlete storytellers via a Sundance Institute partnership. The company has launched an initiative in collaboration with the Sundance Institute “to showcase the next wave of athlete storytellers.” It is to help tell the stories of athletes through strategic partnerships that will showcase authentic narratives from athletes worldwide.
Pippen joined Matt Barnes on the red carpet, snapping photos for Hidden Empire’s Instagram. Barnes is now a big name in the sports broadcasting world with the success of the All The Smoke podcast. Speaking of Pippen, he has teamed up with the same Hidden Empire Films for his new documentary on the “Game 5 Ball.” Visionary director Deon Taylor shared the pictures on the brand’s Instagram page.

Confronted by paparazzi, Coby repeated that it’s going to be a beautiful marriage in November 2025. Considering Larsa’s reaction, it could be a simple joke. Regardless, nothing is confirmed until the two make it official.
